Solomon’s Temple can be viewed as a word picture for how God designed man.

The Holy of Holies correlates to our spirit where we commune with God.

The Inner Court area correlates with our soul: our mind, emotions and will.

The Outer Court area correlates with our body which takes in information from our environment through our five senses.

Surrounding the Temple Sanctuary were the Hidden Chambers.

These Chambers were designed for the use of the Levites when it was their turn to come up to Jerusalem to serve in the temple.

They were supposed to store up things that would assist them in their priestly activities of worship.

In Ezekiel 8, we are shown that they were storing up all kinds of idols and abominations and that this was what led to the Temple’s destruction.

God designed our subconscious to store up positive memories of our experiences of him and joyful times with our loved ones.

Thanks to sin, we oftentimes store up traumas, hurt, lies and rejection.

When Paul speaks of renewing our minds, he is talking about our need to clean out our Hidden Chambers of the lies, hurt, fear, anxiety, rejection, negative images and anything else that hinders us from knowing God.

As we allow the Holy Spirit to lead this cleansing process, He will then also lead us to fill our Hidden Chambers with God’s Truth, loving encounters with Him and our loved ones, and times of inspired worship of Him.

I hope you will take the time to view this short video and to allow the Holy Spirit to search your Hidden Chambers and start the cleaning and healing process of renewing your mind.

Blessings!
