Are there any storms raging in your life?

What circumstances is Satan using to create unrest in your soul?

Perhaps, it’s a health issue or a financial crisis, or maybe you’re facing divorce.

Whatever the storm, beloved, there is a way to rise above the waves and walk on water with Jesus.

If we choose to see these storms as threats to our lives, then they will provoke fear that causes us to sink under their waves.

So, how do we walk on stormy waters?

Two faith choices are necessary.

First, we need to believe God’s Word that tells us that we are IN CHRIST and that nothing can separate us from Him and His love for us.

Jesus constantly holds us in His hands, and no one can snatch us away from Him.

Remember, as God’s children, Satan cannot touch us.

Even if, our earthsuits are damaged, harmed or even killed, we are still kept in Jesus’ hands, and we fully enter into His presence.

So, staying focused on Jesus keeping us safe in His love at all times in all situations is paramount to walking on water.

Second, we have to choose to forgive the water.  Say what?

We need to see no fault or offense in the life storm…. whatever it is…. cancer, financial loss, relationship issues.

We have to let go of even the thought that the life storm threatens or offends us.

We neither blame nor defend the storm.

In essence, we turn the other cheek to the storm, no longer offended by it.

When we choose to forgive and not be offended by the storm, it loses all power to create fear, anger, rejection or any other debilitating emotion.

As novelist, Ted Dekker, writes, “If you want to be saved from this troubled sea, you must surrender your mad belief in the danger it poses, and put your trust in that which truly keeps you safe instead.  Forgive this world and all its mad threats.  Let go!  See no harm in that which comes to destroy you because only your costume [body] can be hurt.  The real you is always safe in your Father’s arms.  Always!  You are His daughter!”

Beloved, as His children, we are always safely held in His hands.

Nothing can threaten us unless we choose to take offense and focus on the storm.

Let’s stay focused on Jesus and walk on water with Him!

Blessings!
