Have any of you struggled with unbelief?

Believe it or not, it’s one of my most frequent battles.

Any time we get caught staring at the waves, unbelief that Jesus has us will likely take over.

There seemed to be a very active strategy deployed by the enemy this past week.

I heard multiple testimonies of the same kind of attack unleashed on me, very successfully, this past week.

The enemy used my Achilles heel against me and I allowed him to latch on.

He took me for quite a ride in a downward spiral.

He successfully got me to shift from abundance to scarcity.

It got very dark in my mind very quickly.

I am thankful for those who interceded for me and for a brother who very graciously reminded me of who I really am.

When I asked the Lord where the enemy had the legal right to attack me, He pointed to some tentacles of unbelief that had their roots in my youth.

I worked through vows that were rooted in unbelief, made the exchanged for truth and re-partnered with the Lord as my Husband and Needmeeter.

Thankfully, once that was resolved my joy was restored very quickly.

Beloved, the enemy is always seeking to shift our focus from Jesus to other people and to our circumstances.

He doesn’t want us to look up to the mountains from where our help comes.

He wants to take us to the pit of despair from where he can convince us to make choices that are not of faith.

He is so good at doing this once he has us off in our mindset.

I know that I talk about this often, but it really is where the battle takes place.

Most spiritual warfare takes place between our ears.

A key to victory is keeping our focus vertical instead of horizontal.

The object of our faith has to be Jesus and only Jesus.

People let us down us all the time.

Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.

He is the ultimate in reliability.

Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly beyond all that we ask or think….to Him be the glory. Amen.

Blessings!

  • Hi Robyn,
Thank you! All you say is true. God will keep you in perfect peace whose mind is stayed upon the Lord, because you trust in Him (Isaiah 26:3). I am also reminded of Hebrews 12:1-2, which is a daily calling! Run with endurance!
    Blessings!
