Ministry News
Greetings in the name of our blessed Savior and Lord Jesus Christ! I hope that you are enjoying all that Spring has to offer as we enter the Passion season of celebration.
Thank you for your prayers. I was led by the Lord to purchase a new Toyota Rav4 in December, and it made for a smooth ride home for Christmas. I tend to keep cars for 2 decades, so a new vehicle with a warranty made the most sense.
The ministry rebranding is temporarily on hold as we wait to see what impact all the tax changes have on non-profits. For now we are still using ELM for donations.
I have a new Journey Tools group meeting with several pastors and their wives in it. They are loving the material and already incorporating concepts into their sermons. We hope to deploy a new model that allows church leadership to get equipped to run their own JT groups free of charge. We are excited to see how that will exponentially accelerate healing in their churches.
If you know any church leaders open to being equipped with our healing content to help their congregations, please connect them to me for a taste and see of the program.
I continue to gain more individual clients as well as have new facilitators to train. Remember that our secure online platform means location in not a limit. So, if you know someone who needs to break free from their flesh patterns and heal past hurts, have them reach out to me to see if our ministry is a good fit for them. Thank you!
Testimony Time
A Journey Tools veteran reached out to me for an individual session. She was experiencing great difficulty in connecting with people and her horses. She originally thought it was due to past relationship trauma, but as she conversed with the Holy Spirit, He pointed her to a different kind of trauma.
She is an experienced horsewoman and barrel racing was a huge part of her life. Unfortunately, she was involved in a riding accident that left her nearly paralyzed. While hospitalized, her body’s pain response went into hyperdrive, and any touch sent her into excruciating agony. By God’s grace, her body healed, but the painful healing process left her emotionally impaired.
She went through Journey Tools a few years ago for the first time, and it really helped her to connect with Holy Spirit and have conversations with Him. She was seeing that the enemy was robbing her of the joy of riding because of the trauma of the accident. Also, she saw that fear of physical touch was keeping her from moving forward in personal relationships. However, she could not understand the ‘why.’
Prior to our session, Holy Spirit showed her that her struggle was not tied to past relationship abuse; rather, it was from the physical pain she experienced in her accident recovery. This blew her mind.
As we started to pray in our session, the Lord walked her through the memory of the riding accident showing her His presence in the event. She was able to give over all of her negative emotions connected to the memory and receive His peace instead. Likewise, He showed her His presence in the hospital and she was able to give over all the ‘yuck’ trapped in her subconscious to Him. His peace took over as she unpartnered with the emotional pain and re-partnered with Jesus and His peace.
She’s been back riding ever since! And she getting ready to lead several friends through Journey Tools! Hallelujah!
Ken’s Korner
From Pastor Ken Keeler: I thank you for your prayers. I am about 85 to 90% healed up from my Whipple surgery. I have been back to full ministry since January 5th of this year. Keep praying for Zion Bible Church, where I have been filling the pulpit for the last year and a half as they look for a pastor.
I’m teaching the book of Galatians at this time, and I have written curriculum for a men’s group that I teach every Wednesday night at Church of the Open Door. Also, I’m preaching every Sunday night at my home Church and I’m going through 2 Thessalonians.
Again, thank you for your prayers!
Financial Update
Thank you so much to all of you who made donations this quarter. Your generosity has been an encouragement to me. Remember that your donations make it possible for me to offer reduced rates to those in need.
Please be praying that the Lord brings in regular donors to make up for the loss of support from my former home church in PA.
Please pray that the Lord shows me the best way to connect with local churches here in Greenwood for support and client referrals.
Your tax deductible donation can be made to ELM and you can do so by check or by going to the Donation page of our website at www.elmphilly.com/donate.
