How do you feel when others make a choice for you without consulting you?
Some of you may be okay with that depending on who that person is.
Others will absolutely hate that they were robbed of their choice.
Their will has been violated.
Beloved, we were made for a loving, restful relationship with God.
He will never rob us of our will and turn us into robots.
He seeks to woo us into a resting relationship with Him that allows us to align fully with His will simply because we KNOW that it is the very best choice for us.
This is the path of humility — total rest and dependence on His life in us flowing through us.
Satan is constantly seeking to rob us of this intimate rest in Jesus.
He accuses Him of causing us pain and suffering therefore, He is not good and cannot be trusted.
For those who have been sexually violated, this is easy ground for the enemy to gain.
Satan appeals to our fleshly pride to guide us into his plan instead of God’s path.
It is impossible to have an intimate relationship with the Lord and walk in pride.
He keeps the proud at a distance.
It takes faith or belief in Him to please Him.
Faith rests.
Fear runs.
Satan seeks to deceive through fear to trap us in self-preservation.
Again, this robs us of our rest in Jesus and traps us in fear and selfishness.
Beloved, God does not promise us a pain free life; in fact, He promises us tribulation that He is able to overcome.
While Satan means to destroy our faith with this pain, Jesus’ blood is so powerful that it redeems the pain by compelling us to rest in His love instead of run from it.
We have been merged with the mind of Christ.
He does not usurp our will.
He teaches us to rest in His will knowing that He always chooses what is best for us.
Knowing this enables us to align with His will daily in both the small and big choices.
If you are struggling with alignment with God’s will, ask the Spirit to show you where the enemy is lying to you about the character of God.
Then, ask Him to speak truth in to that lie.
Declare aloud the truth that He speaks into you and unpartner with the lie and declare aloud your new partnership with truth.
Then, walk on in His strength as He leads you in His rest.
Blessings!
