There’s a popular teaching that is creeping into churches that were once sound in doctrine.

It’s the idea that all religions worship the same God.

So, as long as your are sincere in your faith, whatever it may be, you will end up in heaven.

What does Jesus think about this idea?

In John 14:6, Jesus declared, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.”

Why do people balk at this exclusive statement?

It boils down to pride.

When you look at religions other than Biblical Christianity (and even some versions of Christianity), they are all rooted in the concept of man striving to be ‘good enough’ to get to God.

Muslims have to pray 5 times a day, while Buddhists and Hindus have to make sure they come out on the right side of Karma.

New Agers and the Illuminati already think that they are god, so they are working hard at evolving.

Biblical Christianity is the only faith that looks to God to save us.

Biblical Christianity requires a humble admission that a person cannot be good enough to enter God’s presence.

Biblical Christianity is the only religion where God comes to the rescue by dwelling among us, dying for us, paying our penalty for sin, and giving us His resurrection life as we put our faith in Him.

Biblical Christianity has Jesus as our faith object.

Every other religion has man as the faith object.

How did this happen?

There is a spiritual battle raging in the unseen realm.

Satan is seeking to take as many people to hell with him as possible.

What’s been his strategy?

Offer options.

Come up with a variety of beliefs that mix lies with a little bit of truth and appeal to man’s pride.

“Just try harder,” he tells folks.

There is no security or peace found in these religions, only fear of death.

For Christians, death and the grave have been defeated.

We can look forward with joy to the day we enter glory, not because of anything we’ve done, but because of all that Jesus has done.

Beloved, who is the object of your faith?

I hope it’s Jesus and all that He’s done for us!

Blessings!
