I hope you had a great time celebrating the birth of our Savior with family.

When I was asking the Lord what He wanted me to share about this week, He took my thoughts to the contrast between how He entered this world the first time and how He will enter on His return.

We know from the gospels that His entry into this world was extremely humble but extraordinary.

The first people to meet and worship Him were lowly shepherds.

How fitting for the Good Shepherd.

There was this amazing star, which by the way was visible this year.

This star brought foreign dignitaries, the Magi, to worship Him and bring Him gifts worthy of a King.

On the heels of their visit, the first attempt on His life was made by Herod.

He fulfilled prophecy to the day on His entry into Jerusalem while riding the foal of a donkey.

After fulfilling the mission His Father sent Him on, He ascended back to heaven and took His seat at the right hand of the Father with all His enemies as His footstool.

Beloved, He is not staying there much longer.

Soon, He will return with us while riding a war horse.

He will set foot on the Mount of Olives.

He will be paraded into Jerusalem as the conquering King of Kings and Lord of Lords and He will take His rightful seat on David’s throne and He will rule the earth with an Iron Scepter.

The nations will come and worship Him there and if they defy Him they will experience drought and other hardships.

There will be peace… no armies, no wars… just peace and prosperity for all mankind.

All those in heaven and earth will see what the fruits of righteousness for 1000 years.

Quite a contrast isn’t it?

The little baby born in a barn is coming back as the Might Warrior King of Heaven.

Soon and very soon, we are going to see this King face to face, are you ready?

Blessings!
