How do you react to pain and misfortune?

Satan wants us to get angry at God, step away from Him, and try to protect ourselves from further pain.

I was intrigued by a quote shared by a speaker at the recent Network 220 conference.  He stated:

“God will refashion every misfortune into something better than if it had never happened.”

As I pondered this concept, it drew me back to the best example of God’s power to overcome misfortune in the Bible: Job.

Satan truly intended to destroy Job’s relationship with God through unprecedented misfortune.

Indeed, that was the worst day of Job’s life!

But, Job passed the first test.

The next misfortune was the loss of his heath and along with it, the respect of his community.

His illness made him unclean and an outcast.

That was too much!

He blamed God for His unfair assault on him.

In the end, Job’s faith was refined as God humbled him, showed him his need for grace, and led him into saving faith in His Redeemer.

So, all of the misfortunes Satan introduced were transformed by God into blessings.

What was the worst time in Job’s life became the most productive time.

Beloved, we have all been through traumas and trials.

We need to guard our minds and hearts from Satan’s accusations against God.

By His grace, we need to stand firm believing that what Satan means for evil, God can transform into good.

Good always trumps evil!  Why?

God is infinitely superior and more powerful than evil.

God is good all the time; all the time, God is good.

Trust Him with your pain and misfortunes, and He will transform you through them into the image of Jesus!

Blessings!
