Have you ever noticed that the older you get the more frequently you get up in the morning with a groan?
There are different reasons for groaning, but they all involve some kind of pain.
In Romans 8:22, Paul states all of creation is groaning because it longs for deliverance from its bondage to sin.
He also states that we, as believers, groan with the longing to put off our earthly bodies and put on our glorified bodies.
I say AMEN to that! I am very much looking forward to the new model of my body.
As I listen to reports of earthquakes and other natural disasters as well as threats of attacks against Israel, I can’t help but think of what Jesus told His disciples to look for in the last days.
Every item on the list of labor pains in Matthew 24 is occurring now with ever increasing intensity and frequency.
Maybe you think: “Big deal, these things have been happening for centuries, but life still goes on as it always has.”
Peter address this mocking attitude with a warning that there will be a day when Jesus comes as a thief in the night, and those who are not prepared to meet Him will not escape the coming destruction.
Well, there’s a cheery thought, Robyn!
Actually, it is for those of us who have placed their faith in Jesus as Savior and Lord.
For us, watching God’s prophetic Word unfold in real time is amazing and exciting.
I know what’s ahead for me, do you?
That’s really the point of this blog.
Do you know for sure that if the Lord Jesus returned for His Bride — all believers — that you would be caught up to meet Him in the air?
What qualifies a person to be caught up with Him?
It’s simple: Faith in the blood of Jesus.
What does that really look like?
- A. Admit that you are a sinner. (Romans 3:23; 6:23)
- B. Believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose from the dead (Romans 5:8; Ephesians 2:8,9).
- C. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:9.10).
You see when a person surrenders to the truth of the ABC’s of the Gospel, he is spiritually crucified with Jesus, buried with Jesus and then resurrected with Jesus.
He is born again into Jesus’ family transforming him into a saint, a holy one, a member of the Bride of Christ.
The great exchange occurs.
Jesus takes my sins and in exchange, He gives me His righteousness.
This is the only way any human being can stand before our Holy God and not be condemned.
No one can stand before God on their own merits.
One sin is all it takes to bring a guilty verdict.
So, beloved, if you’ve never placed your faith in the saving blood of Jesus to transform you into His child, please do so now.
Today is the day for salvation.
Don’t put it off.
The labor contractions are happening at an increasing pace.
This tells us that our time to escape the Great Tribulation is almost here.
Don’t wait any longer.
Choose to put your faith in Jesus as Savior and Lord today!
Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus!
Blessings!
