James refers to the two greatest commandments as the Royal Law of Love.
A legal expert asked Jesus, “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied, “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”
Remember our working definition of Agape is:
“When I choose to set aside my self-interests to serve the best interests of another no matter how much it costs me and no matter how they treat me in return.”
But what does it look like to love God in this way?
Jesus gives us some insights in the beautiful vine illustration in John 15.
In this week’s Exchanged Life Nugget of Truth video, I look at how abiding in God’s Agape Love for me is the key to loving God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. In addition, I look at the number one way to express Agape back to God is: OBEDIENCE.
