I want to take a look at the transformation power of grace.

We just celebrated the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.

When a person puts their faith in the blood of Jesus to forgive their sins, grace is poured out on them…grace upon grace.

The person is transformed from a sinner in Adam to a saint in Christ Jesus.

That’s a huge deal.

But grace doesn’t stop there.

This is why Satan doesn’t want believers living in grace; he wants them trapped in the just try harder mode of the Law.

So many see grace as license to continue to remain trapped in sin.

This is Paul’s point, “Shall we sin all the more that grace may abound all the more?  May it never be!  How can we who have died to sin still live in it?”

Beloved, there is no life in sinful fleshly things.

They are merely substitutes for joy that trap us in lies and addictions.

So, let me take a moment and show you how grace isn’t freedom to sin; it’s freedom from sin.

Grace transforms

  • lust to love;
  • addiction to real joy;
  • cursing to blessing;
  • fear to boldness;
  • weakness to strength;
  • despair to hope;
  • depression to life;
  • anxiety to peace;
  • laziness to diligence;
  • brokenness to wholeness;
  • bitterness to freedom and so many more!

Beloved, Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted and to set the captives free.

How did he do this?

His shed blood and grace upon grace.

Where have you allowed sin to hold you captive?

Ask the Lord to show you how to apply grace….to receive the fullness of His unfailing love and favor.

When you receive His grace you are set free from sin.

It cannot hold you, unless you let it.

So, ask for ears to hear and eyes to see.

What lies are you believing?

Who do you need to forgive?

Ask the Lord to speak truth to the lies and to empower you to pour grace on those who have hurt you.

Where grace is; there is freedom!

Blessings!
