As we continue our series on spiritual warfare, I want us to focus on doors that we can open for the enemy to mess with us through participating in the occult.
In our western Christian culture we have been conditioned in large measure to treat demons and Satan as if they do not exist.
That is pure propaganda from Satan.
He is real, and he is using the media to lie about who he really is and what he can do to people, specifically to believers.
Hollywood has conditioned us to believe that if we see something in a movie, it’s not real.
Lucifer is very real, and he will appear as a good guy, an angel of light, in order to gain influence over people, even Christians.
He is pressing hard right now to capture the minds of the next generation.
He lures them with the same old strategy:
“I will give you power, pleasure and prestige…. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life. Just align with me and I will give you all the world has to offer. “
Beloved, do not fall for his lie and make sure you are exposing his tricks to your kids.
There are certain famous theme parks and kids TV channels that are no longer hiding their allegiance to Lucifer.
Jesus calls us to be wise to the ways of the enemy yet to stay innocent through the Spirit.
Do not participate in the deeds of darkness. Why?
We are children of light.
Light brings life.
When you evaluate your entertainment choices, gaming choices, reading choices, music choices, use the criteria:
- “Is this depicting light as good and dark as evil?”
- “Is Lucifer glorified or vilified?”
- “Is this promoting godliness or immorality?”
- Also, a simple God Ask interaction is wise: “Lord Jesus, should I watch, read, listen or play with this?”
Make sure you have set aside your self will before asking.
Now, what do you do with unwise choices?
Ask the Lord to search you and show you where you have opened the door to enemy influence through participating in occultic things.
Write down what He shows you.
Pray using the confess, renounce, reclaim pattern found in Step 1 of the Steps to Freedom prayers available on our site as a free download.
Then destroy any books or DVDs, games or music that the Lord calls you to get rid of.
Use the God Ask moving forward to stay in alliance with the Light of Life.
