As many of you have heard, Kanye West has made a profession of faith in Jesus and was baptized.

He’s also turned his concerts into worship services and it was reported that at one service around 1,000 people indicated praying to receive Jesus as their Savior.

I admit that I did not follow this news closely because I don’t pay that much attention to celebrities.

However, I have heard that there was a lot of negative feedback from Christians.

How could someone as perverse as Kanye really be saved?

Say what?  Seriously?

Perhaps, these folks have lost sight of the nature of grace.

ALL who call on the name of the Lord shall  be saved.  All means all.

The thief on the cross had no opportunity to change his ways.

We was going to die on that cross.

When he asked Jesus to acknowledge him when He came into His kingdom, he professed faith that Jesus was Who He said He was.

Jesus told him that he would be with Jesus in Paradise that day.

When the woman caught in the act of adultery was brought before Jesus, did He condemn her like the Pharisees wanted Him to?

No, He refused to condemn her and instead told her to repent.

Beloved, who are any of us to stand in judgment of anyone?

We need to support one another and love one another, not condemn one another.

We need to pray for men like Kanye who have a huge platform from which they can preach the gospel.

The enemy will come hard after him, and I am sure he will try to use friendly fire to take him out.

I pray that Kanye has a godly mentor who will teach him how to present the gospel of God’s grace through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

He has a powerful platform.

I pray that the Lord uses him and others to spark one last revival before He comes for His bride, the church.

So, beloved, let’s encourage one another and build each other up in the faith as we see the time of our departure draw near.

Maranatha!

Blessings!
