March 2017 ELM Newsletter

Ministry Update

Greetings once again in the name of our blessed Savior and Lord Jesus Christ!

Spring  is almost officially upon us, and I am so grateful to the Lord for the mild winter that we’ve had here in the Northeast.  (Sorry, but I wrote this before Stella visited!)

Pastor Ken Keeler is continuing to preach at various churches in the Tri-State area, and one church recorded his sermon on video.  So, we now have that sermon posted on our website as a sample of what he can share with churches.  Encourage your Pastor to go to our SPEAKING page to hear Ken’s sermon What’s Going on in Our Heads.

Ken is always looking for new opportunities, so if your Pastor needs someone to fill in for him while he’s away, please consider contacting Ken at [email protected] to schedule him at your church.

I have been blessed with several new clients, but I have openings for more, so please consider referring those looking for Biblical counseling to ELM.  Thanks!

The new website is officially up, and the old one will disappear later this month.  So, take a moment a check out our new look and offer us some feedback.  I am really pleased with the new look of our blog.  www.elmphilly.com

Testimony Time

Blanche was usually the one giving guidance and encouragement to others at her church, but a number of stressful life events left her exhausted and full of anxiety.  She bravely contacted me for help.  It’s not always easy for those who help folks to ask others for assistance.

She had a strong Bible base, so it made it fairly easy to move right into some prayer time which allowed the Spirit to reveal the triggers of her anxiety rooted in her Hidden Chambers.

She had grown up in an environment with a volatile parent, and she thought it was her responsibility to protect her siblings from the outbursts of anger.

As she moved on in life, she continued to function as a Protector for her kids and others that she ministered to at her church.  But, when one of her loved ones got hurt, she blamed herself for ‘failing’ to protect them.

What Satan meant for evil, God conquered with His good.  In our time together, several keys incidents from her past have been healed as the toxic emotions from buried trauma were given over to Jesus.

Jesus revealed His Presence to her in these traumatic memories, and His peace brought healing to her soul.  I am thrilled to see how He is going to use what she’s learned through this healing process with the hurting souls that the Lord brings to her from her church.

Mom (Emma) Update

Thanks for your faithful prayers for mom, Emma.  She is still doing reasonably well.

I just learned that we will be transitioning to a new nurse next week.  Her fluids drains are still only putting out about 200ml a week which is really good.

I am thrilled to still have her  with me, and, honestly, I did not expect her to be doing this well.  Her oxygen levels drop into the low 80’s when she  walks to the kitchen or the bathroom, but she recovers to the 90’s fairly quickly.

We are both happy to be able to watch the Phillies games together as the start of the baseball season approaches.  I am praying she makes it to the rapture…which I am convinced is very soon.

Financial Update

Thank you so much to all of you who made donations this last quarter.  I am blessed to still able to take monthly paychecks, and all ELM bills are paid.

Donations of any amount are such an encouragement to me as I try to juggle all the needs of the ministry while caring for my mom. Please pray that counseling revenue and donations increase this next quarter.

Please consider making your tax deductible donation to ELM.  You can do so directly on our website by clicking on the Donation tab or by sending in a check to our address: 1259 Rt. 113 Suite 205, Perkasie, PA 18944.  Simply, make your check payable to ELM.

Every donation helps!  Thank you so much for your support!
