It has been a little over 2 weeks since the Eagles won the Super Bowl, and I am still excited, and  I will be excited about this for years to come since I waited 52 years to see it happen!

But, I have been saved for 59 years, and I am even more excited about my Savior Jesus Christ.

Here are some reasons for my excitement:

1) He saved me from an eternity in the Lake of fire.

In Revelation 20:15, we read:

“And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.”

Knowing my name is in the Book of Life because of Jesus excites me!

2) He keeps on daily delivering me from sin’s power over my life.

The Apostle Paul writes this in Romans 5:10:

“For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, it is much more certain, now that we are reconciled, that we shall be daily delivered from sin’s dominion through His resurrection life.”

Having the living resurrected Christ living in me and through me giving me daily victory over sin excites me!

3) I have a precious, intimate relationship with Christ that has grown deeper through the years.

Philippians 3:10 in the Amplified Bible says it clearly:

“For my determined purpose is that I may know Him, that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly.”

I am excited about intimately knowing my Savior and Friend!

4) He has gifted me to minister to other believers.

In Ephesians 4:11, Paul writes:

“And Christ gave gifts to people.”

I am excited that the Lord gave me the gift of Pastor-Teacher which I have had the privilege of using to help build up believers for over 45 years.

5) The Lord’s soon return for His Church.

The Lord is returning for His church, and it can happen at any moment.

We read in 1 John 3:2:

“Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.”

I am excited that someday I will be just like Christ and will receive a resurrected body!

These are only a few reasons to always be excited about Jesus Christ.

Even though the Eagles have brought me great excitement by winning the Super Bowl, it is only temporary excitement.

Jesus Christ has brought me eternal excitement and I praise him for it!

Blessings!
